Terms and Conditions

Last Updated: February 28, 2026

Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using the CZECHtrekker website (the "Service") and booking any tours with us. Your access to the Service and booking of tours is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and customers.

1. Booking and Contract

By booking a tour, you are agreeing to be bound by these Terms on behalf of yourself and all other members of your party. A binding contract between you and CZECHtrekker comes into existence once we issue a booking confirmation for the tour you have purchased. You must be at least 18 years of age to make a booking. All bookings are subject to availability.

2. Payment

Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation. Prices can be displayed and paid in several major currencies (e.g., CZK, EUR, USD, GBP). The final transaction will be processed in the currency you select at the time of booking. We accept payment via the methods specified on our checkout page.

3. Cancellations and Changes by You

If you need to cancel your tour, you must notify us in writing. The following cancellation charges will apply, calculated from the date we receive your written notification:

  • More than 14 days before tour start date: Full refund.
  • 7 to 14 days before tour start date: 50% of the tour cost will be refunded.
  • Less than 7 days before tour start date: No refund will be provided.

We will do our best to accommodate requests for changes to your booking (e.g., changing a date), but these are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.

4. Cancellations and Changes by Us

While we always endeavor to operate all tours as advertised, we reserve the right to modify or cancel any tour in the event of unforeseen circumstances. This includes, but is not limited to, extreme weather conditions, natural disasters, safety concerns, or not meeting the minimum number of participants required for a tour.

If we cancel your tour, you will be offered the choice of a full refund of all monies paid or an alternative tour of comparable standard, if available. We are not liable for any incidental expenses you may have incurred as a result of your booking, such as visas, non-refundable flights, or other fees.

5. Traveler Responsibilities

Your responsibilities as a traveler with CZECHtrekker include:

  • Health and Fitness: You must ensure you are in good physical health and have a level of fitness appropriate for the chosen tour's activity level. You are required to disclose any pre-existing medical conditions that may affect your ability to participate.
  • Travel Documents: You are responsible for ensuring you have a valid passport and any necessary visas for travel to the Czech Republic.
  • Conduct: You agree to accept the authority and decisions of our employees, guides, and partners. We reserve the right to remove any traveler from a tour without a refund if their behavior is deemed to be disruptive, dangerous, or disrespectful to other travelers, our staff, or local communities.
  • Following Laws: You must comply with all local laws and regulations of the Czech Republic.

6. Insurance

It is a mandatory condition of booking that you and all members of your party take out comprehensive travel and medical insurance. Your insurance must cover, at a minimum: trip cancellation, medical expenses, emergency repatriation (including helicopter rescue and air ambulance), and personal liability. We strongly advise that your policy also covers personal property and any adventure activities you plan to undertake. We reserve the right to request proof of insurance. CZECHtrekker does not provide any insurance coverage.

7. Liability

Participation in our tours involves a degree of inherent risk. Outdoor activities, including but not limited to hiking, walking on uneven surfaces, and being in nature, carry risks of personal injury or death. By booking a tour with us, you acknowledge and accept these inherent risks.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CZECHtrekker, its employees, and partners will not be held liable for any injury, illness, death, loss, damage, expense, cost, or other claim of any description whatsoever which results from:

  • The act(s) and/or omission(s) of the person(s) affected;
  • The act(s) and/or omission(s) of a third party not connected with the provision of your tour; or
  • 'Force majeure' events as defined in these Terms.

8. Use of Images and Marketing

You consent to us using images and videos taken of you during the tours for advertising and promotional purposes in any medium we choose. You grant us a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide, irrevocable license to use such images for publicity and promotional purposes. If you do not wish for your image to be used, you must inform us in writing before the start of your tour.

9. Complaints Procedure

Should you have a complaint about any aspect of your tour, you must inform your guide or a CZECHtrekker representative at the earliest opportunity. This allows us to attempt to resolve the issue on the spot. If the matter cannot be resolved, you must submit a formal complaint in writing to us within 28 days of the end of your tour.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and any disputes arising from them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Czech Republic. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Czech Republic.

11. Privacy Policy

Our collection and use of your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms.

12. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. The latest version will always be posted on our website. Your continued use of the Service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
